A Lifelong love of animals turned into trusted care

Cotswold pawprint didn't start as a business plan - it started with a love of animals and helping friends.

After having my first baby, I stepped away from work and began walking dogs locally for people I already knew and trusted. What started as helping out soon became something much more meaningful - and eventually, the work I now do every day.

I grew up in the countryside, on a farm, surrounded by animals of all kinds. From looking after chickens, labradors or even ferrets, to caring for family pets, animals were always part of daily life - not just something on the side.

That upbringing shaped the way I see animals, as individuals, each with their own personality, needs and quiet little quirks.
What our clients say

Emily came to look after my Whippet Bentley for a day while we attended my son’s wedding. We felt very comfortable leaving Bentley with Emily she is very friendly, and Bentley was very happy to be with her. Emily took him out regular for a wee and feed him his dinner. Emily is a warm and caring lady and i would highly recommend her to care for yours pets.
Can’t thank her enough.

Where it truly began - flossie & Pheobe
Our family dog, Flossie, was a beautiful, gentle soul who completely cemented my love for dogs. She taught me patience, understanding, and how much trust dogs place in the people who care for them.

Alongside Flossie, my grandmother's dog, Pheobe, also played a big part in passing down that love - a shared bond between generations that never really leaves you.

We sadly lost our grandmother in May 2024, but her influence is still felt every single day. Her & my parents are the reason I treat every dog I walk as an individual - noticing their confidence, their worries, and what makes them happiest .
Calm, Experienced & built on trust
Because of my background, I'm particularly experienced with:
Walks are calm, structured, and enrichment-focused - no ball throwing, no overstimulation, and no oversized packs. I also know the Cotswolds, particularly Cirencester, extremely well, choosing safe, enriching routes that allow dogs to explore while staying secure and supported.
More than just dog walking.
Alongside regular dog walks & puppy visits, i can also provide:
Cat
Cat pop-in visits
Dog sitting down in front of cows
Care for dogs staying in holiday cottages or airbnbs, especially for families visiting cirencester from further afield
Puppy
In-Home dog sitting for weddings or events
Giving back to animal's who need it most
Giving animals a safe, loving life matters deeply to me.

Alongside my business, I volunteer, foster, and act as an admin for Rocky Road Rescue, a UK - registered charity (Charity No. 1198638) dedicated to rescuing and rehoming vulnerable animals, including dogs and cats who have had difficult starts in life.

Supporting rescue work keeps me grounded in why this work matters and why every animal deserves patience, kindness, and care.
